Capoterra
The territory which takes the name of Cabuterra.
The town of Capoterra is about 17 km from Cagliari. Located between the sea (to the south the lido di Maddalena Spiaggia), the mountains and the lagoon (lagoon of S. Gilla), it is mainly an agricultural and pastoral town, which has only recently been developing, thanks also to its geographical position, a primary tourism unexpected. Remarkable is its population growth over the past 50 years.
Important in its history and tradition are the churches of S. Efisio (patron saint of the town - January 15), S. Barbara and San Gerolamo. The last ones located near the town are one of the destinations of the "Open Monuments" event
